Daily Recap, TABLA

Day Three, TABLA 2019

BY TAYLOR FAHEY | JUNIOR COUNSELOR

The focus today was “Working as One” and the campers were ready to do just that. Starting off the day with Kadee Gray, the Mental Skills Coach, the campers learned how visualization can improve their game. Then they hit the court running.

The campers enhanced their skills in a full court layup drill, defense communication drill, and pull up jumper drill this morning.

This morning was a competitive one as campers played continuous 3-on-3 and 5-on-5. Some campers even stepped up to play against the Junior Counselors 5-on-5!

After lunch the campers and Junior Counselors competed in a relay race that spanned across all three courts. Then Coach Bea lead a workshop on the theme of the day “Working as One”. Followed were mock interviews in small groups to reflect on personal strengths and weakness.

After two 3 on 3 games, conference play wrapped up and the bracket has been posted for the TABLA 3-on-3 Tournament of Champions tomorrow!

At the end of today the campers started a poster that highlights what kind of leader they are and sets up a goal diagram. Keep your eye out for these posters on the walls of the gym tomorrow. Of course, we can’t forget to congratulate our campers of the day, Ione Fox, Rylie Bird, and Foai Pula.

Tomorrow will be an exciting day with the 3-on-3 Tournament of Champions and the Seattle Storm game!
