How would you describe your leadership style?
I would describe my leadership style to be team first. Always putting my teammates before myself, doing what’s best for the people around me. Incorporating fun while being disciplined and motivated at the same time. Winning, but enjoying every moment of it.

What does Team Awesome mean to you?
It means the world! It teaches teamwork, confidence, and trust all while having fun.

What her teammate says about her:
“Missy is the type of teammate that will always have your back no matter what. She’ll encourage you to do your best, even when you’re not doing so well she never gives up and never stops encouraging her teammates. Having the opportunity to play with her for so many years was amazing. I’m so grateful to have had a teammate like her as well as gain a really good friend.” – Marivel Ortega

How will you change the world?
Change the way people view women’s sports.

Faces of Team Awesome is published once a week through July on the BEA blog,Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Read the complete collection HERE.
