Shake Off the Rust & More!

Join us for our 2nd Annual Shake Off the Rust Camp and get a head start on getting back in basketball shape for the fall and winter seasons! This is for high school girls only!
All-Wesco Mady B. tweeted: “All you ballers lookin to gear up for the season I’d advise you to join this camp! It got me ready & it will for you too!”
Our sessions this year will place a special emphasis on effective communication and leadership on the court – so often coaches tell our girls to “talk” on the court, we will teach them what to say and how to say it. Like all BEA camps, the girls will also practice with and against women who have played and coached at the highest levels!

Awesome Sports Project:

With four volunteer editors and three interns, the Awesome Sports Project wrapped up its first successful year in June after drawing 15,000 views from 60 different countries! We have also been invited down to speak at Julie Foudy’s Sports Leadership Academy (soccer players – check this out!) and are also now affiliated with the Female Coaching Network. We will launch again in October, with the hopes of introducing the first ASP writing & visual contest (youth & adult categories). So start writing, drawing, making videos, etc.!

Trainer, Mentor, and Player News:

BEA is excited to announce that former trainer, Amy Donovan (mentee: Lily Gustafson), has accepted an assistant position at Northern Arizona University. Trainer Kelsey Patrick has also accepted an assistant position at Pacific Lutheran University. Congratulations!
BEA is also graduating their first two mentee students, Lily Gustafson (Shorewood HS) and Madyson Burdett (Edmonds HS), both of whom will pursue their basketball careers at Whitman College. Lily DiPietro has also graduated from Blanchet High School!
